Aléyna’s 1st Birthday
Our baby girl is one year old! I am typing this blog with tears in my eyes. This past year has been the best year of my life. While I was pregnant, people would tell me that having a baby would allow me to experience love like no other; that could not have been truer. She is my everything. I simply can not imagine life without her. She has soooo much personality. She’s running around our home, dancing, talking, and screaming so loud that our entire street can hear her! One thing that she’s started recently is saying “mama.” Hearing that nearly brings me to tears every single time. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that I am, in fact, her mama. It’s truly a blessing to be her mama, and I can’t wait to spend 100 more birthdays with my Babygirl❤️
Now that I’ve somewhat stopped crying, let’s talk about Aléyna’s 1st birthday party! We had an AMAZING time! Her party allowed our close family and friends to get together for the first time since the pandemic. It was great to see everyone and watch our babygirl interact with grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and family friends.
Party Details
Y’all, Edwin Hernandez with IDA ROSE Events does EXTRAORDINARY work!!! I told him my vision and he exceeded my expectations. Her party was in Washington DC, so I knew we could not handle the party planning since we live 2 hours away. Hiring an event planner was the best decision! As for the theme, I am not a huge fan of loud colors, so I decided to go with the bear theme for her party. The browns and beiges were perfectly matched and tastefully executed. I was speechless when I walked in and saw how he and his network of vendors put everything together.
Venue
The Wonder DC was the PERFECT place to have Aléyna’s party. The Wonder is a play space for kids ages 1-10, that also doubles as a space for parents to work while their kids play. This layout allowed for the perfect setup. The adults could all mingle, and the kids could come and go as they pleased between the play area and party space.
Vendors
