Book Wrap Up: February
This month was all about finishing the Moonlit Ridge series! Who doesn’t love fictional morally grey characters that are all about fighting for those who can’t fight for themselves? Each book in this series focuses on a brother and their stories of loss and love. Although this is a series, each book can be read on its own. However, I highly recommend reading them in order. (The first book is summarized in my January recap.)
*All books this month are full of spice! Please read the content warnings at the beginning of each book for additional information.
Books I’ve read this month:
Under an Endless Moon by A.L Jackson
Genre: Adult Romance (Book #2 of Moonlit Ridge series)
Rating: 4.5/5
Being in love with your best friend’s little sister that you swore to protect can never end well. Forbidden love stories always keep me on the edge of my seat as I wait for it all to unravel. There are many scenes that had me gasping out loud. This read was definitely hard to put down!
At the Edge of Surrender by A.L Jackson
Genre: Adult Romance (Book #3 of Moonlit Ridge series)
Rating: 5/5
Imagine finding out you’re a dad and the mother of the child is dead. Now you’re a single dad trying to prove to yourself and to your daughter that you will do whatever it takes to be the best father.
I don’t read a lot of single-dad tropes, but I must say, this one has a twist that is worth the read!
Beyond the Blue Horizon by A.L Jackson
Genre: Adult Romance (Book #4 of Moonlit Ridge series)
Rating: 4.5/5
Do you believe in love at first sight? Before I met my husband I may have said, no. But I promise it’s real. I love the way Theo and Piper’s love story is told and once you’re done reading, you’ll feel just how strong that first connection can be.
On the Brink of Bliss by A.L Jackson
Genre: Adult Romance (Book #5 of Moonlit Ridge series)
Rating: 4/5
Not going to lie, I was the most excited for Cash’s story, but I was not as engaged as the others. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a great read, but it took a bit before the plot truly thickened. If slow burn is your thing, you’ll love this one!
Thanks for reading! If any of the books spark your interest, let me know in the comments!
